Why I Created MyScribeWeb.

After building my first website I received a lot of  requests to show people how I  developed
kimbro.net. I found myself working very long hours answering the many "How To" questions from visitors to my site.

Eventually I wrote an e-book about "How To Start a Home Business On line" and sold it through my site at kimbro.net.

I had promised the purchasers of the e-book that I would keep them updated, on the ever changing trends in Internet Marketing in the form of an updated e-book.

Within six months there was so much new material added it became impractical to download the e-book.

Hence the birth of MyScribeWeb. I wrote to the original purchasers of the e-book and they indicated that they would prefer to download what they needed from a site which I could constantly keep updated, with all the tools necessary to build their own businesses.

In essence "MyScribeWeb" compliments my original site kimbro.net which covers: "How To Start A Home Business Online"

Now I would like to address the:

Writers/Authors, Ghost writers, Poets and Publishers.

As a published Author I know first hand how daunting a task finding the right Publisher can be. Not only daunting but expensive and risky as well.

I have spent a great deal of effort contacting publishers and establishing an agreement with them to peruse Your Manuscript sample submission via the MyScribeWeb Author's Directory.

All subscribed members of MyScribeWeb have the facility to lodge their Own Profile Page for inclusion in the Author's Directory. 

The Profile Pages are provided by and hosted on MyScribeWeb. You can submit your manuscripts,  articles, sample works, etc. [include your copy right notices] to your profile page news section. You can type your information straight onto the page or copy and paste your material to the page. You can log into your page at any time and edit, delete or add new material as you wish.

You will be provided with the URL [ web address] of your profile page, which you can use to promote yourself and whatever material you placed on your Profile Page.

However the best part is - at your request we will manually place your Profile Page URL into the Author's Directory under the category of your choosing.

Remember the Publishers have agreed to view your manuscripts. MyScribeWeb will also keep the the Publishers updated on new submissions to the Author's Directory via RSS [ Real Simple Syndication] feeds.

You will be able to submit or update as many articles, manuscripts, or just news about you and your sites as you please for the duration of your membership.

Creates one way back links to your sites.

I am sure that MyScribeWeb will develop into a high traffic site as it matures. This means  you will eventually get traffic to whatever URL you advertise on your Profile Page listed in the Author's Directory.

As soon as you register [note the user name you choose when registering will be part of your Profile Page URL, for public view and can not be changed at a later date.] your subscription to MyScribeWeb you will be taken to your Profile Page Manager. This is where you can edit your account details [except user name], change or request new password, submit your manuscript etc.

To access the member's index area click on the "BROWSE" button from within the Profile Page Management  Area.

Please contact me and request submission into the Author's Directory. I will need the following details from you:

1. Your Profile Page URL
2. The category you want to be listed under, i.e. "Fiction" Autobiography" "Other" etc.
3. Details of previous published works if you want them included. Otherwise just "Yes" will do if you are a published Author, or "No" if you have never been published.

If you are a writer and have a manuscript you want a publisher to see, as a member, we invite you to showcase your details on this site with a small example of your work. For this purpose all members get a profile page which they can edit with the supplied profile manager. Hosting and directory listing of your profile page is included in the membership.

We will invite the publishers to view your submission. If the publishers are interested in your work they will contact you. If you prefer to publish your own work we will provide you with all the tools you need to create and publish your own book or e-book. Resources to Publishers and Literary Agents can be freely accessed through the Publishers Directory.

Your membership will entitle you to use and download everything within the site to one computer. Membership does not entitle you to resell or give away anything from within the membership site [unless otherwise stated].
